In order to operate a business in BC you need to:

• Check availability of the proposed business name
• Get the proposed name approved from the BC government
• Register the business name
• Register for applicable Government Accounts:
  • HST
  • Payroll
  • Import/Export Number and
  • WCB Registration

What You Get

On approval of your application you will receive:

• An official Statement of Registration issued by the BC government
• For all government tax accounts you have registered for you will receive documentation directly from appropriate government departments that administer those accounts. We will also provide you with account numbers where applicable.
